Auction Day
Ever feel like your stomach is going to explode from stress and nerves? Yep, that's how I felt today before the Supreme Extreme Mustang Makeover auction. Like many others I know, I didn't get much sleep last night. Even though I couldn't adopt an adult horse, I still felt the need to watch them. And to be honest, the high prices made me nervous! When it came time to bid on the yearlings, my heart was pounding so hard I thought I'd have a heart attack! After quite a few of my top picks went for higher prices than I wanted, I was beginning to feel very discouraged. When the final horse on my list came up, I was less than optimistic. But when my mom turned to me and gave me a thumbs up, I knew that lot #411 was ours. While discussing details, I was looking at the pool horse list. The pool horses are the ones that did not get any initial bids. These horses were available on a first come, first serve basis. I found a filly that my mom and I had liked, but not bid on. So, while not planned, lot #395 became our filly also! So the wait begins to pick up the fillies. But for now, we'll have to settle for looking at pictures and a video of the little ladies :)
